Palais Royale in Worli, Mumbai is the tallest under construction residential tower in India. Having structurally topped out at a height of above 300m, it stands as Mumbai’s and India’s tallest structure – surpassing Mumbai TV Tower which is 300m high.
The luxury building was designed keeping sustainability and responsible consumption in mind from the onset of the project, the development team has successfully achieved a LEEDS platinum rating – it is one the first residential buildings in the world to do so.
To maximize the amount of open space in the surroundings, parking and amenity levels were included within the tower footprint. This required a wider spacing of columns in the lower floors and the use of an extensive load transfer, in which the reinforced concrete beams are up to 9 meters deep, the deepest girder constructed in the world. Construction also broke a record for the largest single day concrete pour in the history of Mumbai.
