Review Policy

LocalBusinessLocator.com hosts reviews and ratings to help users evaluate businesses. Reviews should reflect genuine experiences and must be submitted and moderated in a manner consistent with applicable consumer-protection law.
1. Genuine Experience Required
Do not submit a review that falsely claims or implies personal experience with a business, product, or service. Do not submit fabricated, AI-generated, impersonated, purchased, or otherwise fake reviews.
2. No Sentiment-Conditioned Incentives
A business may not condition compensation, discounts, gifts, contests, rebates, or other benefits on a reviewer expressing a particular positive or negative sentiment. Any lawful material connection that must be disclosed must be disclosed clearly and conspicuously.
3. Insider and Conflict Disclosures
Owners, officers, managers, employees, agents, contractors, close relatives, and others with a material relationship to a business must not misrepresent themselves as independent consumers. Where a review is permitted, required material connections must be disclosed clearly.
4. Prohibited Review Content
Reviews may not contain threats, harassment, hate speech, doxxing, private information, knowingly false factual accusations, impersonation, extortion, spam, malware, infringing material, irrelevant advertising, or unlawful content.
5. Negative Reviews
LBL does not remove a review merely because it is negative or because a listed business disagrees with it. Reviews may be removed or limited for policy violations, fraud, lack of genuine experience, conflicts of interest, unlawful content, privacy violations, spam, or other legitimate moderation reasons.
6. Review Suppression
Businesses may not use physical threats, intimidation, groundless legal threats, or false public accusations to prevent or remove legitimate negative reviews. LBL will not represent that a displayed review set contains all or most submitted reviews if reviews have been suppressed solely because of their rating or negative sentiment.
7. Business Responses and Disputes
A listed business may submit a professional response where the platform permits. To report a review, email info@localbusinesslocator.com with the listing URL, review details, the specific policy issue, and supporting documentation. LBL may request additional information and may preserve records as reasonably necessary.
8. No Verification Guarantee
LBL may use moderation and anti-spam measures but does not guarantee that every review is accurate, complete, or authentic. Users should consider reviews as one source of information and exercise independent judgment.
