FORT WORTH, Texas – The legendary Billy Bob’s Texas, located in the heart of the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District, first opened in 1981. While concerts for April have been postponed due to social distancing as a result of the COVID-19 virus, the colossal Billy Bob’s Texas will continue their concerts as soon as possible.

While events may have been halted temporarily, Billy Bob’s Texas is doing their part to help the community and give back wherever possible. As part of a local effort, Billy Bob’s Texas recently partnered with Carter Bloodcare for a special community blood drive. A total of 339 units of blood were collected as a result and will be used to aid those in need.

As a way to celebrate the 39th anniversary of Billy Bob’s Texas on April 1, there will be a special watch party featuring some of the area’s most well known local talent. Artists performances will include Abraham Alexander, Austin Allsup, Bonnie Bishop, Chad Prather, Brad Thompson, Grady Spencer, Jack Barksdale, Jerrod Flusche, Johnny Cooper, Josh Weathers, Kris Luv, Matthew McNeal, Michael Lee, Rob Redwine, Smooth Vega, Summer Dean and more!

“Though we are moving through unprecedented times in the entertainment industry and the world with the COVID-19 pandemic, we still wanted to find a way to honor this milestone,” says Keitha Spears, Director of Marketing at Billy Bob’s Texas. “Parties at Billy Bob’s Texas typically take place on our dancefloor and in the showroom with several thousand of our closest friends, but that just isn’t an option this year. This watch party is a way for us to celebrate 39 incredible years in the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards while staying safe and doing our part to flatten the curve. We are thrilled to partner with Visit Fort Worth and Tarrant to showcase local musicians and raise money for our creative community.”

There will be a virtual tip jar in association with the watch party where viewers can make donations that will that will go directly to the United Way of Tarrant County, Hear Fort Worth, Film Fort Worth Creative Industry Relief Fund which was developed to help support musicians, visual artists, and filmmakers who have lost work due to COVID-19. The initiative spearheaded by Hear Fort Worth is an extension of Fort Worth musician Rachel Gollay’s Artist & Service Worker Relief Fund.

Billy Bob’s Texas has earned an impressive 10 ACM Nightclub of the Year Awards with 18 nominations. In 2020, the Academy of Country Music once again nominated Billy Bob’s for Club of the Year!

There are a handful of concerts that were postponed that have been rescheduled such as Easton Corbin (6/19), Justin Moore (9/26), Colter Wall (11/19) and more dates coming soon.

Live at Billy Bob’s Texas gives the listener a front row seat to concerts at the World’s Largest Honky Tonk. The music series has compiled powerful performances featuring hits from legendary country music artists like Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels, Eddy Raven, Gary Stewart, Asleep at the Wheel, Janie Fricke and more.

Now, Circle network is carrying Live At Billy Bob’s Texas! Launched in January, Circle Media celebrates the country lifestyle and puts fans inside the circle of everything country. NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 29, 2020) – Gaither Music Group announced- today- that they will release a compilation of worship songs and hymns from seven-time GRAMMY winner Randy Travis with an album titled Precious Memories and an accompanying DVD entitled “Worship & Faith.” Filmed in 2003 at Calvary Assembly of God in Orlando, Fla., Travis and his band performed songs including “I’ll Fly Away,” “Three Wooden Crosses” and “Just a Closer Walk With Thee” among other favorites. The newly re-packaged album includes songs such as “How Great Thou Art,” “Softly and Tenderly” and “The Unclouded Day.” The package is available for preorder now and will be released on February 21.

Travis is no stranger to Gospel music having released the smash hit “Three Wooden Crosses” in 2002. The song became his sixteenth number one single winning Song of the Year at the 2003 CMA Awards and Country Song of the Year at the 2004 Dove Awards. It was his first entry in the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. He has released four Gospel albums which all charted on the Billboard Country charts; with three of them also charting on the All-Genre and Christian Album Charts.

The recordings will be featured as a TV special on networks including PBS, TBN, RFD-TV, DirecTV, DISH TV, GaitherTV, FamilyNet, The Heartland Network, CTN, GMC, GMTN, Guardian, Liberty, TCT and TLN.  It will air in Canada on Vision TV, CTS, The Miracle Channel and Hope TV. The “Worship & Faith” DVD and Precious Memories CD are exclusively distributed by Capitol Christian Distribution and Universal Music and will be available throughout general market stores and the Christian marketplace in addition to Cracker Barrel Old Country Store®. The tour sees Church & AP stepping up to bigger venues, giving more fans the chance to hear the best of the prolific partnership’s releases to date and experience their new music live on stage. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Tuesday 11 June.

The duo have recorded most of their debut album already, and will be heading back in to Red Bull Music Studios Auckland to wrap up the project ahead of release later this year.
